The event takes place under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Miroslav Toman.

DERBY is the most important "classic" race for three years old colts and fillies, the highlight of the Czech horseracing season. The triumph writes down the name of the horse into the history, it is also the best possible success for the jockeys, trainers, owners and breeders. Czech Derby creates, together with Velká jarní cena and St Leger, the Classic Triplecrown. Czech Derby is the most financially rewarding classic race in Central Europe.

Due to the currently valid emergency measure of the Ministry of Health (in connection with the prevention of COVID-19), the capacity of the number of spectators will be limited to 1,000 people on Sunday, September 6, at 100th Czech Derby raceday. Tickets for the event can be purchased in the GoOut and Ticketportal sales networks until Thursday, September 3, at 2 pm. All owners of tickets purchased in this way will be allowed to enter the Chuchle Arena Prague, as well as holders of already purchased seasonal tickets and ZTP ID cards. The remaining tickets will be sold on Sunday at the box office, but only until capacity will be full. Holders of annual Prague Public Transport coupon (3650 CZK), uploaded on card "Lítačka", are not allowed free entry on this raceday.
